Smart Gutter Upgrade with Raindrop Filter in Cottonwood Heights
Challenge
This Cottonwood Heights home needed a stronger gutter system that could both handle heavy rainfall and protect the underground drainage system from clogging. Traditional gutters often let micro debris slip through, leading to hidden blockages below ground. Homeowners also face the challenge of not knowing when or where clogs occur until water backs up, making it difficult to maintain their system without constant cleaning or inspections.
Solution
We installed a complete system designed to handle both capacity and maintenance. The project included new fascia and fascia buildout to provide solid support, a 6” open system, and Gutter Shutter for clog-free performance along the roofline. At deck level, we added a Raindrop Downspout Clean Out filter. This filter acts as a safeguard, stopping micro debris before it can enter the underground drain and cause hidden clogs.
The filter’s placement at ground level makes it easy for the homeowner to check and clean out, no ladders required. This ensures that after every storm, the system can be inspected and confirmed to be working properly with little effort. With the combination of strength, accessibility, and lifetime protection, this upgrade gives the homeowner peace of mind and a permanent solution—something routine gutter cleaning could never provide.
